In EYFS Throwing & Catching, children can move freely, with pleasure and confidence in a range of skillful ways.  Children should learn to accept the needs of others, turn taking and sharing.  Our Throwing & Catching lesson plans encourage children run in a controlled way, changing speed and direction to avoid obstacles. Our EYFS Throwing & Catching lessons also give children opportunities to be aware of boundaries set and behaviour expectations.

Throwing & Catching lessons are a vital part of early years and foundation PE.  They provide opportunities for children to move confidently and develop fundamental movement skills, in particular locomotor and manipulation skills such as running, jumping, throwing, catching, and gathering. Primary School Throwing & Catching is also great for building confidence, developing social skills and allowing children to handle different pieces of equipment.
