More About This Unit
Why are Dance lessons important for early years children?
Dance lessons should be a deep-seated part of early years and foundation PE. They give opportunities for children to move confidently in a range of ways, safely negotiating space.
Primary School Dance is also great for building confidence, developing social skills and allowing children to try new activities, saying why they like some more than others.
Why choose PE Planning for your EYFS PE?
All PE Planning lesson plans are created by PE Specialists and include all the resources required to deliver a complete Unit of Work. Each lesson plan includes full guidance, including illustrations, and you can choose to download either a quick reference plan or a full lesson plan.
Our EYFS Dance lessons use the DfE guidance and Early Learning Goals and allow you to deliver fun, engaging and rewarding Dance lessons to your EYFS class. Best of all, our Dance plans are quick and easy to download and follow, making your life easier!
What do our EYFS Dance PE plans cover?
In Foundation Dance, children should explore different movements – keeping good balance and coordination. Children will have opportunities to work well in pairs and small groups.
Our EYFS Dance lesson plans help children listen and move to music, understanding the concept of playing characters and taking on different roles.
