Dance lessons should be a deep-seated part of early years and foundation PE.  They give opportunities for children to move confidently in a range of ways, safely negotiating space. Primary School Dance is also great for building confidence, developing social skills and allowing children to try new activities, saying why they like some more than others.

In Foundation Dance, children should explore different movements – keeping good balance and coordination. Children will have opportunities to work well in pairs and small groups. Our EYFS Dance lesson plans help children listen and move to music, understanding the concept of playing characters and taking on different roles.
